Raisin

Raisins:

Raisins are rich in minerals including potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, and magnesium, which aid in the physical and mental growth of children. Due to their high fiber content, they are excellent for improving bowel movements and treating constipation in children. These dried fruits are also effective in treating high fever and enhancing memory in infants and children due to their antibacterial properties. Raisins come in various types, each made from different grapes, offering distinct flavors and appearances. The benefits and drawbacks of yellow raisins are similar to those of black raisins, differing only in some nutrients.

  • Yellow Raisins:

These are dried using sulfur dioxide and sulfur smoke, giving them a yellow or amber color. Their benefits include boosting the immune system, improving skin health, and preventing heart diseases.

  • Black Raisins:

Made from black grapes, these raisins have high antioxidant properties, enhance memory, and improve heart health.

  • Golden Raisins:

Mostly used in dishes, especially rice dishes, these raisins are dark brown and provide energy, improve digestive function, and strengthen bones.

  • Green Raisins

These are green and elongated. Their benefits include being an energy booster, aiding digestion, promoting weight loss, and preventing osteoporosis.
